Anand -Topalov soon
Next week the 21th April the world Championship will begin between Anand, the world champion (who won his match against Kramnik in September 2007) and Topalov. What is not really clear to me is why Topalov is the challenger but he is a very interesting player so the match will probably be exciting.
The first game will be played the 23rd April, 12 games in the match and 4 games rapid tiebreak if needed.

Hi all I am back!
Hi all I am back!
Internet troubles are always very strange, nobody can explain you why and when it will work again then suddlently everything is ok again;the webb is on , and you get 5000 mails in a row!...well it is life!
I lost my ANCL game by forfeit not being able to connect and my opponement claimed a win,.... well that's life also!
Having no internet I had more time to think and I wondered about the Chess Bundesliga. I read Baden is the new champ ,having a team full of strongs GMI under 2700 ,what I dont really understand is :Is it really so important to be champ that it is worth buying so much strangers players? Is it interresting to be champ that way?I could ask the same question to football fans whith teams towns with not even a single native in the team.
Probably it is a no politicaly correct question or probably the answer is:Only the result matter....that is life!
To be more blog connected,Saturday you will found at least the solution of the last monday exercice.
Kiss to the girls, handshake to boys.

Remembering Smyslov
Smyslov Vassily born 24th march 1921 died a few days ago from heart failure the 27 th March 2010 was world champion from 1957 to 1958.He was a great positional player very good in endings who played 3 world championships against Botvinnik (the latter wrote a book called 3 matches!)he tied the first 12-12 in 1954 and Botvinnik keep the title. In 1957 Smyslov took the tittle 12.5-9.5 becoming the 7 th world champion in the history of chess. Next year Botvinnik took back the tittle 12.5-10.5.Amazingly in 1983 at the age of 62 he went to the candidate semi final losing only to Kasparov .
A variation of the Ruy Lopez is namedafter him:1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 Nf6 5.0-0 Be7 6.Re1 b5 7.Bb3 d6 8.c3 0-0 9.h3 h6.
I once meet Smyslov not behind a chess board but simply in a shop in Paris I remember a very tall man wearing a green coat, probably knowing he was World Champion made him a giant in my young eyes.
Smyslov-Tal (1-0)
Vassily was also an Opera Tenor .Very impressive in our time of specialists.
