All Nations Chess League (ANCL)

ANCL is one of the largest on line chess league; we play 90+5 slow matches,
we have our own rooms at playchess.com. The league is free to join.
All participants in the ANCL must have a full Playchess account (including a serial number), 20 slow games and a rank of knight or higher. Any player who has previously been found using assistance in rated games will be refused entrance to participate in the ANCL league.
we have a main site and a forum, at present there are 14 teams from all over the world, each team can have up to 12 members usually a captain and 1 or 2 vice captains.
Each week a line up of 6 players is made by captain to play against another team.
You then if chosen any given week, (you may well not play every week), use ANCL forum to arrange your match with your opponent agreeing on a time and day to play,
Also at ANCL we have a teaching school, simuls or lessons are given at playchess usually in room 5, where your participation /questions would be welcomed and answered, Lessons usually last for an hour each time, unless the teachers get so enthralled at the Questions they lose track of time.

All the above and more details can be seen at
Main site http://anclchess.net/
If anyone is interested and would like to join us, please do, it takes around 5-7 days to be accepted, please use your playchess nick when registering as user name. Once accepted you will then be added to forum site http://anclchess.net/forum/index.php

joke for no english native send by a chessplayer!

A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation.

The lady sitting behind them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of the men say the following:

"Emma comes first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more. Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time."

"You foul-mouthed sex obsessed swine," retorted the lady indignantly. "In this country....we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives........."

"Hey, coola down lady," said the man.

"Who talkin' abouta sexa? I'm justa tellin' my frienda how to spella 'Mississippi'." :):):))))))))

do you know Stephen Hawking?maybe he is the greatest genius on earth,I mean real genius ,dont believe newspapers or TV show, you are not a genius if you are a champ at football, golf or even chess. This time Stephen was speaking about ET and suggested that trying to meet them can be very dangerous.Thinking about Extraterrestrials I wonder if they can have a kind of Chess game of even if the fact of playing can be universal? Also some time theories predict that time may change direction ,will then be replaying all my lost games from the end?

White to play
Question :is it winning for black or draw?(if you think it is winning for white go to the doctor)

dimanche 16 mai 2010

The come back of Yazz!

In sport there is one wonderful thing :The come back of the champion!Be careful, it is wonderful only if the champion wins, if not it can destroy the legend;I am thinking of the never ending pitiful come back of some boxers;for example the first come back of Ray Sugar Leonard was great ,winning against Marvellous Marvin Hagler but his second come back ,KO from an unknown warrior was very deceptive. In chess the come back of Fischer ,20 years after his first world Chamionship was great and Bobby was clever enough to understand that is was also time to stop forever ,even with all his talents he was a man from the past.
Seirawan is one of my chess heroe ,he stopped competitive chess some years ago but from time to time he plays a game or two insome Dutch club league or in special event. For a fan like me,adding another game to my collection is always a great pleasure!
Now he is playing a little 4 match game against a junior,Benjamin Bok in Amsterdam at the Euwe Memorial.3 games have been played with Yazz leading 2-1(I will soon publish the game dont worry)

Chess bond (1980) - Christochess (1924)

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.c3 Nf6 5.d4 exd4 6.cxd4 Bb4+ 7.Nc3 Nxe4 8.0-0 Bxc3 9.d5 Bf6 10.Re1 Ne7 11.Rxe4 d6 12.Bg5 Bxg5 13.Nxg5 h6 14.Qe2 hxg5 15.Re1 Be6 16.dxe6 f6 17.Re3 [17.Bd3;

22...Qf4 23.Qc2 f5 24.Qc3 0-0-0 Chess bond offers a draw. Ich sah hier, dass Df6 an Dd2 scheitert 25.b5 [25.Qf6 Qd2 26.Rf1 Nd5 27.Qd4 Nf4 28.Qxa7 Nxe6] 25...Nd5 ich erwartete hier Dc2, worauf ich ruhig mit c5 antworten wollte. 26.Qa5? 37...Ra1 38.Rxg6+ Ke5 39.Rxg5 d3 40.Bxf5 [40.Rxf5+ Kd4 41.Rf7 c5 42.h4 d2 43.Bg4 Ne1+ 44.Kh3 Rxa2 45.h5 Ra6 46.Rd7+ Kc3 47.Kg3 c4 48.f4 Kc2 49.Be2 Rc6 50.Kg4 c3 51.Kg5 Kb1 52.Rb7+ Kc1 53.Rd7 Rc5+ 54.Kg4 c2 55.h6 Rc8 56.Kh5 Re8 57.Bg4 Ng2 58.f5 Ne3 59.Bf3 Nc4 60.h7 (60.Rd5 Ne5 61.Be2 Nd3) ] 40...Kf4 41.Rh5 [41.h4 Ne1+ 42.Kh3 d2 43.Bg4 Nd3 44.Kg2 c5 45.Be2 c4 46.Rg3 Re1 47.Rg4+ Kf5 48.Rg5+ Kf6 49.Bg4 c3] 41...Ne1+ 42.Kf1 Nf3+ 43.Kg2 Rg1#  (Lag: Av=1.51s, max=10.5s) 0-1

White to play and win

dimanche 2 mai 2010

Nothing to do here but I found it on a chess blog

Dilato.net Commerical - Hot Chicks

Ok this is not connected to chess but I have an excuse I found it trying to work for the blog and secondly I laughed a lot, so have a look and reactions(I mean comments) welcome.

Today Rest day

Once more I am unhappy to see that the rest day happends during my own rest day!So they will play again when I will be working and will not be able to follow the game!

Also a quite interresting information:the manager of Topalov ,Silvio Danalov said that Internet sites must respect copyright laws.
I dont really know what he wants to mean ,because there is no copyright on chess games, most probably he is thinking about tranmission of the moves in real time.
Well you can ask yourself what is real time diffusion ?In a physical and philosophical view we can even say it is impossible!
About Copyright and chess game there are sometime some discussions but the problem is hard to solve with questions like:Who is the author of a game? When a game is beginning to be an original creation? And maybe more seriously who would accept to pay to publish a chess game?On the otherside it could gives some money to old players.

As far as I know ,there is not (yet?)problems between the players, this is very good for us ,we can concentrate on the games and they are very interresting.
